The Department of Transportation Management Engineering is the most historical discipline within the campus, founded nearly one hundred years ago.it is one of the top three subjects authorized by the University Currently.37 staff engaged degree holders and 19 staff is Master degree holders.

The Department of Transportation Management Engineering is mainly responsible for tutoring undergraduate students in traffic and transportation .post-graduate and PhD students in four areas; Traffic and Transportation Planning and Management .Transportation and Logistics .Traffic Safety Engineering and Comprehensive Transport .Over the years of dedicated efforts. We have educated groups of excellent graduates in traffic and transportation field. Meanwhile ,we are devoted to developing the National Key Subject ”Traffic and Transportation Planning and Management ”.through undertaking nearly one hundred national or provincial research projects with numbers of 10 million Yuan funding .We are very proud of our significant contributions to speed acceleration over the existing railway lines .Qinghai-Tibet railway construction.

Heavy-load transport, railway logistics planning and Passenger Dedicated Line construction .Extensive research output has been generated .Currently the department is responsible for teaching 1 national classic outstanding course and 1 outstanding course of Province level .Additionally it is working on the edition of teaching materials in railway transport .undertaking the training program for passenger transport operators and taking charge of the authentication for traffic and transport program.
